SPRING back into SUP!

If it feels like FOREVER since you’ve been on a SUP and you’re feeling a little apprehensive (or EXCITED!) about the upcoming Summer of SUP adventures, this session is for you.

It’s been a long old winter and perhaps your SUP has been in hibernation for a couple of months. As you dust off the cob webs, you may be wondering ‘will I be wobbly when I get back on the water? Do I remember how to do this?’ Don’t panic. This feeling is completely normal and felt by other paddlers, that’s why we are hosting some ‘SPRING back into SUP’ sessions to kick off the 24/25 SUP season!

ABOUT THIS SESSION

Our SPRING back into SUP sessions have been introduced to help you find your sea legs again if it’s been a while (e.g. the last 2/3 months!) since you’ve been on a SUP. These sessions run for 2.5 hours, we will paddle at a nice gentle rate to enable lots of time for chatting and socialising, and we’ll have a little snack break half way. We’ll recap some basic techniques, answer any questions you may have and of course have a heap of fun enjoying being back on the water once more. These paddles will also be a chance for you to make some new SUP friends before the Summer! woo!

COST

2.5 Hour Session + snack + BYO SUP: $99
2.5 Hour Session + snack + SUP HIRE: $119

ABILITY LEVEL

Suitable for ALL abilities but if you have NEVER been on a SUP before, please take a SUP Confidence Lesson instead so that we can ensure you receive all the foundational knowledge needed to keep you safe on the water.

GOAL/OUTCOME WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE

After this session we hope that you’ll be feeling much more confident being on the water again and super excited about what the Summer will bring. You will have ‘ripped off the bandaid’ in a safe and supportive environment, led by a She SUPs instructor and you’ll be ready to embark on lots of new adventures with She SUPs this Summer!

WEATHER

The She SUPs team will be in touch with you via SMS if the weather (in particular wind) conditions look unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle or provide a refund. Please assume we are proceeding as normal if you don't hear from us, and trust that we will never run a paddle if it's unsafe to do so. Often generalist forecasts like Apple and Google forecasts are not accurate enough for paddling, so your instructor will be analysing more in-depth weather charts to decide whether to proceed.

MEETING POINT

These sessions will be held at Tunks Park, Middle Harbour, Cammeray. Full details are shared upon booking. The route will vary each week depending on the conditions, so if you’d like to come more than once we can ensure it’s different for you!
