Sailors Bay Half-Day SUP Adventure (Middle Harbour)
📍on Cameraygal Country
We pay our respects and show gratitude to the Cameraygal people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land we paddle on.
Middle Harbour is one of Sydney’s biggest and most accessible waterways, so we decided that our community should be seeing MORE of it, and so this season we will be hosting a 4 hour, half-day SUP adventure to beautiful Sailors Bay, Peach Tree Bay and Fig Tree Cove!
ABOUT THIS ADVENTURE
Our Sailors Bay Half-Day SUP Adventure is our longest half-day SUP adventure as there’s just so much to see! After launching from Tunks Park, Cammeray, we’ll be heading West on a guided exploration of the bays and suburbs of Middle Harbour.
Supported by your qualified She SUPs instructor and a group of like-minded SUP loving individuals, this paddle is all about heading out on the water in a supported environment, having a good chat, seeing beautiful natural locations and gaining all the benefits being on the water brings.
We'll be providing some light refreshments for morning tea, and will stop half way to enjoy them from our SUPs. As with all She SUPs paddles, this paddle is conducted at a leisurely rate and with PLENTY of rest stops. We’ll always adjust our plans based on the conditions and the needs/wishes of the group.
COST
4 Hour Guided Paddle + Morning Tea + BYO SUP: $109
+ SUP Hire: $50
ABILITY LEVEL
This adventure is a great next step for those who have already experienced one of our other Half-Day SUP Adventures (such as Woronora River, Hacking River or Lane Cove River). Due to the distance and time we’ll be spending on the water, we recommend that if you haven’t paddled before, you take a lesson before this session. Click here to check out our SUP Confidence lessons. If you haven’t paddled for over 2 hours before, you could try our Middle Harbour Coffee Paddle or SUP Technique for Longer Distances lesson before trying this half-day.
WEATHER
The She SUPs team will be in touch with you via SMS if the weather (in particular wind) conditions look unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle or provide a refund. Please assume we are proceeding as normal if you don't hear from us, and trust that we will never run a paddle if it's unsafe to do so. Often generalist forecasts like Apple and Google forecasts are not accurate enough for paddling, so your instructor will be analysing more in-depth weather charts to decide whether to proceed.
MEETING POINT
These paddles are run from Tunks Park, Cammeray which enables us to explore Sydney’s beautiful Middle Harbour. Details about meeting point and what to wear/bring are shared once you have booked in for this adventure.
