60L SUP Expedition Kit Bag
60L SUP Expedition Kit Bag
When packing for a SUP expedition/camp, we recommend utilising two key bags. One around 60L, the other around 30-40L.
Your 60L bag is for your camp gear. Ideally these are items you won’t be accessing from your SUP until you reach your camp/final destination. Then you combine that with a 30-40L day bag, which has all the items you need during your paddle.
Many paddlers opt for a large roll top dry bag for their 60L camp bag, but when you reach camp and find your jumper or tent is right at the bottom of the dry bag and you have to rummage around to find it… while it’s raining… you’re likely to regret your choice!
Therefore we LOVE this 60L duffle style bag. With a long central zipper down the top, this makes it MUCH easier to access your camp gear on arrival and also live out of the bag during your adventure. The 60L size is big enough to hold a single-person tent, sleeping bag and small roll mat, but isn’t so huge that it will swamp your SUP.
The bag is FULLY waterproof (and tried and tested by the She SUPs team) which means there’s no need to double bag your items with a bin liner. Just pop them in this bag and away you go.
And a final reason we love this bag is because Red Paddle Co take a circular economy design process and therefore this 60L SUP Expedition Kit Bag is made from an eco-conscious TPU (a type of plastic that is more environmentally friendly then PVC) with the main advantages being that it’s durable, recyclable and biodegradable in 3 – 5 years! woo!
